The Electronics Research Laboratory (ERL) is a part of the global research and development network that supports the Volkswagen Group of brands. This facility is a 40,000 sq. ft. hybrid of labs, offices and an informal cultural center to innovate new concepts and technologies for future vehicles. Our design accomplished client goals to integrate branding, create diverse work settings, and become a center for VW/ERL-hosted industry events. David Whitney has provided architectural services to the ERL at three locations since 2002. The project is certified by the USGBC as LEED Silver.
